About tTG-IgA
tTG-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) is the primary antibody used to diagnose celiac disease and to monitor antibody levels on a strict gluten-free diet. When someone with celiac disease consumes gluten, the immune system produces tTG-IgA antibodies — elevated levels indicate active disease or ongoing gluten exposure.
The most widely used reference ranges are: below 4 U/mL is normal, 4–10 U/mL is borderline, and above 10 U/mL is positive. Some labs use different thresholds, so always compare your result against your own lab's reference range.
This tracker uses the most widely adopted reference ranges and is not a diagnostic tool. Always discuss your results with your doctor.
